Respiratory Care

Respiratory care provides services that are prescribed by a physician for the assessment, diagnostic evaluation, treatment management, and monitoring of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function.

The services of the Respiratory care department are available to all patients (adult, pediatric, and neonatal) 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Services include the following:

Therapeutic treatments:

  • Passive nebulizer treatment
  • Chest physiotherapy
  • Incentive spirometry
  • Breath actuated neb treatment
  • PEP therapy
  • Naso-tracheal suctioning
  • Metered dose inhaler
  • IPV

Oxygen delivery:

  • High flow systems
  • Aerosol/oxygen delivery
  • CPAP
  • Low flow systems
  • Oxyhood
  • Portable oxygen

Critical Care:

  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Code Blue/resuscitation
  • Airway management
  • High frequency ventilation
  • MET Team
  • Intubation
  • Nitric oxide
  • Inpatient transport
  • Tracheal suctioning
  • High Risk delivery
  • Infant transport team
  • Trauma Call team
