The Cardiac Cath Lab is located inside the CAMC Heart and Vascular Center with seven catheterization labs and two electrophysiology labs. The unit is designed with efficiency in mind, as patients enter from the perimeter of the labs and supplies are located in center, allowing quicker access to supplies needed for procedures. It has direct access to the surgery suite at Memorial for emergency situations. The new labs also house the most advanced cath lab technology.

The Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) provides prompt and efficient execution of medical therapy to meet the needs of the critically ill cardiac/medical patient population. Services provided include, but are not limited to: ECG with ST segment monitoring, implementation of the AMI/ACS/ADULT arrhythmia protocol, thrombolytic therapy administration, invasive and non- invasive hemodynamic monitoring, intra aortic balloon pump management, mechanical ventilation with airway management, vasoactive medication administration, transvenous and external pacemaker, Svo2 monitoring, and therapeutic hypothermia after cardiac arrest.

Memorial Hospital's emergency room experiences more than 36,000 visits annually. While the ER serves all patients with all conditions, it is particularly well known for its heart and vascular care. A new two-tiered triage system is being implemented to meet not only your emergent medical needs but the urgent ones more rapidly as well. The cardiac team is on call 24/7 to meet the incoming heart attack patient's needs and includes physician specialists in emergency medicine, cardiology, radiology, cardio-thoracic surgery as well as specially trained nurses, pharmacists, case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, x-ray, lab and EKG technicians. The Endoscopy department provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with conditions / diseases of the gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Procedures are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of designated holidays. Call coverage is provided for procedures performed after normal operating hours, such as, emergent/urgent procedures during the evenings, nights, or on weekends and holidays. The Endoscopy department provides care to adolescent (ages 12 and older), adult, and geriatric patients.

Medical/Surgical manages all aspects of medical-surgical patient care. 3 North is an 18-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit that manages the care of surgical and medical patient groups that may require telemetry monitoring, including vascular and GI health problems.
