CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center
The CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center on the CAMC Memorial Hospital campus houses WVU and CAMC specialty clinics and serves the health care needs of the community in a state-of-the-art patient care and teaching facility.

Located in the new 210,000 square foot building are the Outpatient Care Center, Family Medicine Center and Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry Clinic. 

By integrating these offices into one location, WVU and CAMC can provide more convenient and efficient access to health care for thousands in the region, many of whom are uninsured.

Outpatient Care Center

Located on the 4th floor of the CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center on Memorial campus, the Outpatient Care Center offers primary care in medical and screening clinics and has many specialty clinics including gastroenterology, cardiology, congestive heart failure, epidemiology, Hepatitis C, arthritis, osteoarthritis, surgery, dermatology, Marfan's and a Ryan White Grant program/Infectious disease clinic.

The Outpatient Care Center is the teaching center for the WVU Internal Medicine Department. There are 40 to 50 internal medicine residents and approximately 15 to 20 attending physicians. Other professionals providing care at the center include licensed registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, advanced nurse practitioners and certified medical assistants.

Family Medicine Center 

Located on the 5th floor of the CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center on Memorial campus, the Family Medicine Center is a teaching facility for the WVU Department of Family Medicine in Charleston. Our group of 10 board-certified attending physicians and 20 resident physicians provide a family focused care program together with our professional and caring staff. We specialize in providing quality care to patients of all ages.

WVU Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry Clinic

The WVU Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry Clinic is located on the 5th floor of the CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center on the Memorial Hospital campus. The clinic has support from psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and social workers either on faculty or in training. Medical students also provide service under supervision of faculty. 

Evaluations, medications, counseling, psychotherapy and psychological testing are offered for people of all ages. Opportunities for contributing to research in the field are also available.
