| The CICU provides prompt and efficient execution of medical therapy to meet the needs of the critically ill cardiac/medical patient population. Services provided include, but are not limited to: ECG with ST segment monitoring, implementation of the AMI/ACS/ADULT arrhythmia protocol, thrombolytic therapy administration, invasive and non- invasive hemodynamic monitoring, intra aortic balloon pump management, mechanical ventilation with airway management, vasoactive medication administration, transvenous and external pacemaker, Svo2 monitoring, and therapeutic hypothermia after cardiac arrest. |
