CAMC Foundation Gala
On April 26, 2014, the CAMC Foundation will host its annual Gala to support CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital. The CAMC Foundation Gala plays a significant role in providing healthcare to the indigent children and families of our region and state. Each year, newborns, infants, and children in underserved families have a better start at life because of individuals and businesses that support this event. Proceeds from the Gala provide education, wellness and care management services for children and families in our community.
An elegant affair, this event attracts nearly 400 guests each year to the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences in Charleston, WV. The event highlights include fine cuisine, cocktails, entertainment and an auction of unique trips, services, jewelry and more.
The goal of the CAMC Foundation Gala is to raise much needed funds to sustain a positive and healing presence in West Virginia. Outside of the community support received each year, there is no other funding to address this important void in our community. In 2013, this event grossed $363,276 for Women and Children's Hospital.

The CAMC Foundation Golf Classic celebrates its 23rd anniversary in 2014. Created to attract the sports enthusiast, the Golf Classic supports the Foundation's Children's Fund. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund children's safety net services including NICU, trauma, clinics, preventive and educational programs at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital. Specifically the proceeds support the Children's Medicine Center, the NICU, Pediatric Oncology Program, Family Resource Center and the Child Abuse Prevention Program.
Each year, more than 300 golfers play on three courses in Kanawha County: Berry Hills Country Club, Edgewood Country Club and Sleepy Hollow Country Club. A great game of golf, refreshments, food and raffle are among the highlights of the day. The Golf Classic traditionally raises $200,000 for the Children's Fund.
