At the CAMC Cancer Center
CAMC Cancer Center is designed to provide a multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive care for patients with hematologic (blood) and oncologic (cancer) diseases. This center provides the highest quality of care possible through the coordination and enhancement of multiple hematology/oncology services in an academic environment utilizing internationally recognized evidence-based standards of care and best practice patterns.
The CAMC Cancer Center provides quality outpatient services of the type and levels necessary to support the teaching mission of the institution in its affiliation with the West Virginia University Medical School. The center provides services to surrounding communities.
The infusion area includes 10 infusion bays that will comfortably accommodate up to 32 patients, as well as four private infusion rooms. Each infusion bay is curtained, which allows patients to receive treatments privately or with others. Patients have access to an outdoor garden terrace where they can receive treatments while enjoying the fresh air, sunlight and view of the city. Pet therapy also is available in the infusion area where trained animals may sit with patients during treatment.
CAMC Cancer Center is located at 3415 MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City in Charleston, WV.
