About
us
The
Fertility Center at Charleston Area Medical Center is a
program dedicated in providing quality reproductive health care
services. Our staff places a priority in assisting couples
achieve their ultimate dream of having a child. Many possible causes
may contribute to infertility. The two most common reasons are ovarian dysfunction and male infertility. An evaluation
and workup is completed to determine a diagnosis, then an
individualized plan is created for each couple to address their
particular infertility needs. We provide highly advanced
technological services to meet the needs of couples with infertility
problems throughout West Virginia.
The
physicians and staff at the Fertility Center combine caring
expertise and technology to assist in male and female infertility
issues. With more than 50
years of combined experience in reproductive medicine, our
physicians have helped establish many fertility centers and
pioneered many procedures to help couples become families.
Support for couples
The focus at the Fertility Center is to get patients pregnant with the least expensive, least invasive method possible. The majority of patients will likely get pregnant before going to
In-Vitro Fertilization, but must be willing to do their part with compliance and following what they are instructed to do. Physicians and staff recognize that all patients have different situations that apply to them, so they will work to figure out the best option for every patient they see.
Getting
started
Patients will sit down with the Fertility Center team in an initial
appointment to discuss their situation.
During this initial visit, the team will suggest the
recommended treatment method and answer any questions patients may
have.
