Neurology is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. This includes injuries and diseases affecting the brain, headaches, stroke, seizures, Parkinson’s Disease among others.
Neurologists diagnose and treat a variety of diseases involving the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels and all tissue stimulated by nerve impulses (such as muscle).
Tests include: EEG which identifies disturbances in the brain by providing routine electroencephalograms, electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
