Calls From CAMC

CAMC regularly makes phone calls to patients for various reasons, including but not limited to, pre-registration, discharge follow up, relaying test results and insurance verification.  Any caller from CAMC will identify themselves without being asked and tell you their position and a call-back  number if you request it.  Calls from most CAMC phones have the prefix number of "388" which should show on your caller ID.

If you receive a call from a person representing themselves to be from CAMC and you have any suspicions about the callers' identity, ask the caller for a name and call back number and do not give the caller information until you are satisfied that the call is legitimate.  If the caller refuses to give you that information, hang up and call the CAMC Consumer Hotline toll free at 1-855-388-6699 to report the incident.
