Patients now can come to the CAMC Telemedicine Center in Montgomery, in eastern Kanawha County, for virtual visits with their medical specialists without the inconvenience or expense of travel. A telemedicine visit at the center is the same as an in-person visit with a provider. A nurse meets with each patient to record their vital statistics such as weight and blood pressure, talks with the patient about their health history, and facilitates a secure video visit with their provider. Patients have the same dedicated time to talk with the provider one-on-one, just like an office visit, and the provider thoroughly addresses their health needs and concerns.
CAMC also has telemedicine centers in Lewisburg, Marlinton, Princeton, Ripley, Summersville and Morgantown.
