Donald Jarrell, Medical Assistant and Kristal Reeves, registration, work at CAMC Rheumatology in South Charleston.
One day in September, Donald was filling in at the check-out area when a patient was feeling dizzy. He noticed her brace herself as she sat down and he checked on her.
After assessing her, Donald notified the physician and staff nurse that the patient’s vitals were concerning, and they determined the patient needed to go to the hospital. Kristal called EMS. If it wasn’t for the quick response from Donald, Kristal and others in the front office, the outcome for the patient could have been very different.
Thank you, Donald and Kristal, for putting your heart and soul into caring for our patients.
