Sometimes caring for patients goes beyond their physical needs.
Janessa Maynard recently took patient care to a higher level. She organized a full submersion baptism for a patient who was near the end of a long battle with an extensive illness.
Maynard took time outside of work to deliver a tub to the patient's room, fill it with water and organize a baptism with a clergy member. She spent a great deal of time preparing for this event collaborating with staff members from all departments involved to ensure the baptism was able to take place for the patient and their family.
