Kerri Robinson is a nurse in the Surgical Vascular Intensive Care Unit at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She was nominated for her kindness to a patient that went beyond medical care.
This patient had experienced a seizure and was confused. As a Vietnam veteran, he also was experiencing flashbacks.
Robinson calmed the patient, holding him in her arms and using her calming touch, while gently talking to him and reorienting him.
Robinson also is a veteran, serving as a Medical Technician at the 167th Airlift Wing, West Virginia Air National Guard, and in Iraq.
