Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among West Virginia residents. When cancer is found early with low-dose CT screening, patients can more often undergo minimally invasive surgery and have less lung tissue removed. The Mobile Lung CT, funded by Aetna Better Health of West Virginia, is staffed by experts and equipped with the same state-of-the-art digital imaging technology as you would get at a CAMC imaging facility for quick, convenient, accurate screenings.
You may be eligible for our low-cost screening program if you are:
- Between the ages of 50 and 77
- Have a smoking history equivalent to smoking one pack per day or more for 20 years
- A current or ex-smoker who has quit within the last 15 years
- Not showing any signs or symptoms of lung cancer
A physician’s order may be needed for some screenings. Contact your local provider for a referral or click here to schedule an appointment with a primary care provider.
