Screening mammograms are one of the best tools for detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages. The CAMC Mobile Mammography Unit, funded by Aetna Better Health of West Virginia, is staffed by breast health experts and equipped with the same state-of-the-art digital imaging technology as you would get at a CAMC imaging facility for quick, convenient, accurate screenings. It features a mammography suite and exam room built with telemedicine capabilities and is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Am I candidate for a mammogram?
You may be eligible for a mammogram on our mobile unit if you:
- Are age 40 and older
- Have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are not experiencing breast issues such as lumps, discharge or pain
