Nutritional monitoring
A Registered Dietitian will monitor your nutrition and provide education on various nutritional topics. The Registered Dietitian will meet with you initially to review your nutritional history and tailor a meal plan to meet your individual needs. This meal plan will consider your preferences, dislikes, and your daily schedule. We believe a very personalized approach will better ensure your success in the program. Our goal is to teach you a way of eating that you can maintain life-long. The Registered Dietitian will meet with you one-on-one routinely to review your nutritional plan and guide you through the process.
Exercise monitoring
The Weight Loss Center provides a 1,500 square foot exercise facility with state-of-the-art equipment. Our Exercise Physiologist welcomes you to join her to start exercising, improve your health and enjoy life. The Exercise Physiologist will meet with you initially for a one-on-one session to get you acquainted with the equipment and develop a personalized exercise routine for you. This appointment will be made after you are seen by the Nurse Practitioner at your initial appointment. The Exercise Physiologist will monitor each of your exercise sessions to assure proper use of equipment, proper technique, and assist you in attaining your fitness goals. After your first individual session, you may access the gym at your convenience for your work-out sessions.
Medical monitoring
Because we offer a holistic, comprehensive approach to your weight loss process, your health care will be managed by a Nurse Practitioner throughout the program. This includes necessary laboratory testing, education, and oversight of your medical condition. The Nurse Practitioner will meet with you initially to review your medical history and then periodically throughout the program. Please bring in any recent blood work (within 6 months) to your initial appointment.

It is recommended that you exercise at least three times per week, or more. You are welcome to exercise in the CAMC gym facility. Exercise is an essential component of the program, and just as important as following a restricted calorie meal plan, as advised by the Registered Dietitian. We will monitor your gym compliance weekly and address any noncompliance issues as they occur.
We offer a very practical and reasonable approach to meal planning. Meal planning is based on the Exchange Lists under the American Dietetic Association. This type of meal planning utilizes regular foods and is helpful in maintaining a steady blood sugar level and metabolic rate, both of which assist in your weight loss process. Your meal plan will be individualized for you by our Registered Dietitian. We believe the more user-friendly we develop your plan, the more successful you will be.
