Insurance information
Prior to your admission or outpatient visit, you should contact your insurance company to determine if you or your physician must comply with any special requirements prior to receiving services.
Our financial services personnel will verify your insurance benefits. If you do not have coverage or your coverage is inadequate, you will be contacted by a financial counselor. If you would like to speak to a financial counselor prior to your admission, please call our central scheduling department at (304) 388-9677 or (800) 348-9677.
Any deductibles and/or co-payments should be paid on admission.
What to bring if you are admitted
Please bring a minimum of personal belongings with you. You will want to leave valuables at home. CAMC is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property while you are hospitalized.
If you have an advance medical directive, you should bring a copy with you if it is not on file with us from a previous visit. If you do not have one, we can help you create one.
Room accommodations
CAMC has private and semi-private rooms. Room accommodations are based on patient need and availability.
Visiting hours
We know that it is important to have your loved ones involved in your care and the healing process. Generally, visitors are allowed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in most departments, not including a care partner. Intensive care and other specialty departments may have other hours.
Children under 14 may not visit a patient care area, with the exception of siblings in postpartum care areas.
