A patient was admitted to the cardiopulmonary ICU with a newly diagnosed brain tumor.
The patient and his partner had been together for over 20 years, but never married, and they had four children together.
The staff quickly organized a wedding for the patient and his girlfriend because they had been talking about getting married soon. They got rings and flowers. Jessica Truman, nutrition services, brought a strawberry cheesecake, and Ravi Isaiah, Pastoral Care Director, officiated the wedding.
