Dr. Theresa Bautista and Cody Taylor, Nurse Practitioner, work with CAMC’s intensivists.
They are being recognized for their help during a met call for a patient who was actively dying on 7S.
The patient had a do not resuscitate order, but still needed treated.
Dr. Baustista and Taylor responded immediately to a page and text, never questioning the request for help.
They were able to give the patient comfort measures, and he passed away peacefully shortly after.
The person who nominated them is thankful for what they did to help the patient.
