Dr. James Harman is an Endovascular Neurosurgeon who was nominated for quickly working in and treating a patient.
The patient, from outside of the Charleston area, had been to an emergency room for tests, but sent home without further evaluation.
A family member, concerned for the patient, contacted Dr. Harman.
Harman spent over 45 minutes with the patient and family explaining the surgery that was needed and provided images noting where the injury was and his plan for treatment.
The patient left knowing Dr. Harman was the right physician to perform the procedure and the surgery was scheduled. She had the procedure in mid-October, was released a week later and now can stand up straight and has better range of motion in her neck that she has had in years. She was even able to walk and not be in pain.
The patient and her family are thankful for Dr. Harman’s caring and compassionate care.
