The Everyday Excellence Heart and Soul award recognizes those who model professionalism, are constantly reliable and consistently provide high quality results and service to customers.
Usually there is one heart and soul nomination each month for an individual or group.
This month, Joey Toms, Case Manager on 5 West at Memorial Hospital, received FIVE nominations.
The nominations said Toms goes above and beyond for all of her patients and co-workers. She is kind to everyone she meets, respectful, and very caring of patients and family members. She often helps patients get medications for a lower price and provides patient education.
Toms consistently accommodates patients with placement to make sure they get the care they need, and she works to ensure that all of her patients’ needs are met.
One of the best compliments from the nominations is that Toms’ co-workers feel their unit would not run efficiently without her.
