Dr. Jon Kardos is a dentist at the CAMC Facial Surgery Center.
He was nominated for going out of his way, including driving across town, to help patients.
Kardos was unable to get a prescription to go through electronically. After working on it for a while, he printed the prescription and drove it himself to the Walmart Pharmacy so the patient would not have to wait any longer.
On another occasion, Kardos was in the General Hospital facial surgery clinic when he got a call from the Women and Children’s Hospital office regarding a patient who needed to be seen.
After seeing his last patient at General, Kardos drove to Women and Children’s to see the patient so they would not have to navigate through Charleston just to be seen in his clinic.
“Dr. Kardos never hesitates to go above and beyond to help his patients,” according to the person who nominated him. Others described him as always professional, nice and understanding.
