While at dinner downtown, Walther noticed a person walking back and forth in the cold outside of the restaurant. Walther ordered her a cup of coffee and food and took it out to her. The woman was very grateful.
Walther, who keeps extra blankets in her vehicle, asked if the woman would like a blanket. She said yes.
Walther also took off the winter coat she was wearing and gave it to the woman. Walther made a point to do all of this out of the view from people in the restaurant so that the woman would not be embarrassed.
The people who nominated Walther say this is not a one-time act of kindness saying she is always looking out for others, even if she does not know them.
