The USA Cycling Professional Road National Championships were held in Charleston in mid-May.
As the official medical provider, CAMC was part of the planning and execution of this large sporting event.
A group representing administration, emergency medicine, trauma, safety, marketing and the foundation went above and beyond to ensure CAMC was represented in the best possible light on this national stage.
They were at the mobile unit early setting up tents, cots and medical supplies; scheduling doctors, nurses and advanced practice professionals to be present along the racecourse.
Comments from the Convention and Visitors Bureau office, the Mayor’s Office, and others acknowledge the exceptional dedication this team exhibited and the value of having such a strong and valuable partner in the city.
There were countless others who assisted in the planning, execution and needs as the medical sponsor both before and during the event, but the leadership of this group made it all possible.
