Corey Pullen is a Medical Staff Quality Specialist and Tim McCallister is a Provider Data Management Specialist.
A patient came into medical affairs looking for assistance with an issue he was having with his medication.
The man has Parkinson’s disease and was having some difficulty speaking and walking.
Pullen got his doctor’s name, called their office and was able to get them to see him immediately.
But while Pullen was making this phone call, the man’s condition deteriorated, and he was unable to walk.
The man was overdue in taking his medication which was in his car.
Pullen secured a wheelchair, and with McCallister’s help, they took him to his car and his doctor.
Pullen and McCallister were very compassionate, caring and spoke to the patient in a very calming manner and made sure he got to the doctor’s office safely to get the care he needed.
