Tamara Painter is a phlebotomist at Women and Children’s Hospital.
It was a busy night when a patient on the labor and delivery unit needed bloodwork.
When Painter came to draw blood, she noticed the patient had become sick and needed some assistance getting cleaned up. Painter helped clean the patient, change her bed sheets and change her gown.
Even though this wasn’t Painter’s responsibility, she saw that a patient needed help and took care of her.
