Congratulations to Ashley Smith, telemetry, for being recognized as the first quarter 2024 Teays Valley Hospital Employee of Excellence.
Smith “is truly a team player,” her nomination began. “She walks the halls finding ways to assist our staff with patient care. She can be found helping patients to the bathroom or helping pass
medication.”
Smith doesn’t just assist on her unit. She also helps other areas in the hospital.
“She picks up night shifts to help in the ER. She is willing to share her nursing expertise where it is needed throughout the hospital.”
Smith also does special things for the staff, such as passing out sweets to co-workers as a thank you for their hard work or if they have had a particularly stressful time.
