Workforce recognition photo

Each year, CAMC recognizes employees celebrating milestone anniversaries for their years of service (5, 10, 15 years, etc.). In 2024, more than 1,200 employees and volunteers are celebrating their anniversary, including one employee celebrating 55 years of service and seven employees celebrating 50 years.

Vickie Beasley started working at CAMC in 1974 after her high school guidance counselor recommended it. As a junior student, the program allowed Beasley to work at Memorial
Hospital on weekends and holidays to allow full time staff to have the days off.

During her 50 years, Beasley has worked in a variety of departments. She currently works as a Patient Resolution Specialist in patient accounts.

Beasley called her 50 years at CAMC an “amazing journey” and said she has appreciated all the job opportunities here.

Sharon Elmore started working weekends at CAMC during her senior year of high school. She says CAMC is a great place to work because you can move and still be in the CAMC family.

Elmore has worked in multiple departments and locations in CAMC.

She loves helping people manage their way through health care. “I may not be doing hands-on patient care any longer, but the things I do making sure the right patient is getting the right procedure on the right day with the right doc with the right insurance helps them on their health care journey.”

Elmore says she loves what she does and likes to think she makes a difference.

Nancy Kincaid worked in nursing when she started her career at CAMC. She has held different positions during that time and says that all those jobs help her in her current purchasing job.

Kincaid likes purchasing because she sees the inventory and medical supplies and gets to see how everything is used. She says no matter where you work, frontlines or behind the scenes, you affect people’s lives.

She has enjoyed meeting and getting to know many people over the years.

Midkiff also has worked in outpatient offices and as a Registration Clerk at the CAMC Imaging Center in Southridge since 2021.

She has enjoyed meeting people from the community coming for care. That was evident when she was selected as one of the first Heart and Soul Everyday Excellence awardees in 2018.
